At Casa Grande Senior Care, we understand that every one of our residents has their own unique needs to address. While one senior citizen may be mostly independent and simply want the added reassurance of a 24-hour team from their assisted living community, others may be in mid-to-late stage dementia and require a more intensive care plan. With this in mind, we are licensed to provide the following three Levels of Care.

Level One

Our first level of care is best for seniors who are, for the most part, independent. As with all of our levels of care, they have 24-hour supervision so that there is a member of the care team available to them, regardless of the time of day. Additionally, we provide medication management and administration so that our residents don't have to worry about remembering to take their prescriptions. If they require additional assistance with bathing, we can also provide that. Many of our residents prefer living in our senior care home because we take care of their housekeeping and personal laundry. We are also able to keep track of their schedules so that we can remind them of things they need to know. Finally, all residents in our facility are welcome to join in on our many planned activities to keep seniors engaged.

Level Two

Seniors who require our second level of care may have physical or mental limitations to what they are able to do for themselves, in which case, we take a more hands-on approach. In addition to everything included in Level One, we can also provide assistance with dressing and personal care. In addition, we may provide redirecting and other daily living activities to help your senior loved one with memory issues or other cognitive concerns. For more details on what would be entailed in the care plan for a Level Two resident, contact us.

Level Three

Residents with the largest needs for care would fall under our Level Three care plan. In addition to everything included in Level Two, we are also able to provide a significantly higher level of care. For example, we can bathe and dress Level Three residents, as well as provide incontinence care. In addition, we also often offer dietary supervision and mobility assistance to these residents.

Memory Care aka Garden Court

This plan was designed for residents who require closer supervision for behavioral intervention. A comfortable environment with enhanced care provided by our trained staff who truly have a passion for their line of work. This level of care will receive:

Laundry
Bathing
Dressing
Incontinence Care

When your loved one begins losing their memory, it can be stressful for everyone involved. You miss the person that they used to be, and they are confused and frustrated with themselves. Many family caregivers find that they struggle to provide the level of care required for a loved one with dementia. Fortunately, this doesn’t have to be such a stressful experience for all involved. At Casa Grande, we are happy to provide memory care for residents who require closer supervision due to memory loss. With the appropriate level of care, your loved one may live out their twilight years comfortably.

Respite Care

At Casa Grande, we recognize that your loved one’s care needs may not be long-term. You may, for the most part, be able to handle their care on your own, but for the time being, you need additional assistance. Perhaps you are traveling, are going through a demanding period of time at work, or simply need a break from the challenges of caregiving due to burnout. If you are in need of respite care in Visalia, we would be more than happy to help you and your loved one. Contact us to learn more about our respite care services and how your loved one may be able to temporarily move into our senior living community.

Hospice Care

Hospice isn’t simply care at the end of life. It’s about staying present and honoring the remaining moments your loved one has. At Casa Grande, we understand that the final stages of life are difficult for both the individual and for their family. Because of this, we are careful to provide a level of care and comfort that starts with compassion, respect, and love. By ensuring that your loved one receives empathetic and attentive care at the end of their life, you honor the love that they have given you and the legacy that they will leave behind. We are happy to help you and your family by providing hospice care to your loved one.

What Level of Care is Right for My Senior Loved One?

When assessing which level of care your senior loved one needs, it’s important to take these factors into consideration.

Daily Living Assistance Needs

First you should consider how well your senior loved one is able to handle the day-to-day tasks essential for life. Are they able to bathe themselves? Dress themselves? Cook and feed themselves? Do they take medication on a regular schedule, or do they tend to forget? Seniors who are, for the most part, able to care for themselves may be best suited for Level One. While we can provide medication management and reminders, they are able to take care of daily living activities like dressing, bathing, and personal care for themselves.

Alternatively, some seniors need a lot of help in some areas and virtually none in others. For example, they may have limited mobility due to a physical condition that might require them to have assistance getting in and out of bed, but once they have their assistive device such as a cane, they can get around just fine. In this case, Level Two would be most appropriate.

Finally, there are residents who are unable to perform most, if not all, daily living tasks. These individuals require frequent and comprehensive care. For these individuals, we are able to provide the highest level of care. We can administer and assist residents to take medication, bathe and dress them, feed them, and whatever other personal or medical care needs are required.

Medical Needs

Next, you will want to think about what level of medical care your loved one requires. For example, some of our residents require catheters, IV drips, ventilators, or other medical devices. For these individuals, it’s important to offer them a higher level of care. Consider your loved one’s medical conditions and how much assistance they need for monitoring them. While we can provide medication management at any level, if your loved one requires assistance in taking the medication or requires additional medical interventions, it may be best to consider Level Two or Three. We can help you assess the best option for your loved one’s specific medical needs.

Cognitive/Behavioral Needs

Many seniors begin to have cognitive or behavioral issues over time. For example, they may begin to experience memory loss, or they may struggle with controlling their actions or moods. If this is the case for your loved one, it’s likely that they will need a higher level of care. If your loved one is at any stage of dementia, it’s recommended that they receive Level Three care. This ensures that we are able to more closely monitor them and to keep an eye on their symptoms, giving you peace of mind that they are safe and comfortable.

If you are not sure which level of care is best for your senior loved one, we are more than happy to help you assess their needs with what we can provide. Contact our senior living home in Visalia to learn more about what we can offer for your loved one’s individual needs.
